5 point win.... COOL

When you're up 34-3 and win by 5, you have a terrible coach.

June needs to go. I don't want to hear one word about hanging in and fighting because that was garbage out there in the second half.

truely some awful decisions surrounded by epic horrible play by a few key players.

Thank you Barnes and Joiner for coming to play and being men.

Very ugly second half. Glad we won, but feel crappy about it. June needs to go.

It's bad coaching decisions, 2nd half mishaps, and heavy drinking. Yes, it's an SMU game. Now, I'm in sorry shape for the Hogs. Roll Tide!

More than anything, I'm thrilled that we won. But as for the final half being closer than it should have, that's more on the players. Coaches didn't throw the pick-6, coaches didn't get the ball stripped out of their arms, etc. They'll have a lot to work on, and still came out with a win. I'll take it, and let's hope we're better next week.

Ahhh, you're right. Why even have coaches? It's all about the players!

Yes, let's just put all the blame on the players.

Agree with you gostang. We made incompletions stopping the clock when we could have run the ball and taken time off the clock. I know JJ suck ups like Thumper/Corso want to blame the players but the coaches are just as responsible for the play calling.

even on the running plays, we were snapping the ball with 15-20 seconds left on the play clock; now that's on the coaching...poor clock management, for sure. Or was that on Gilbert for not being aware enough? But those who want to blame the coaching for fumbles and INTs? really??

Add the the weaknesses of the R&S or R&R is that is not built to have the capability to efficiently drain the close and close out a game. I think going forward the offense will just have to keep their foot placed firmly on the accelerator, because conservative just doesn't work with this O.

SMU has been blown out by Texas Tech, Texas A&M and TCU...they were relentless on their attack...why should JJ ever get our Offense's foot off tje pedal? This was suppose to be a 48-13 blowout!!! Only 2 more TDs but Nooooooooo let's not run up the score, when that is precisely what other schools do to us when they have a lead!

Actually we did not take our foot off the gas and should have run more.

But the problem SMU will NEVER run the ball well with 4 WRs and 5 Lineman. You've got the have some Jumbo packages to run the clock. apparently our two Legends have none
