I was a little nervous how much JJ would let him work on the offense but obviously he has had a big effect and the offense is looking a lot better.

wonder who made the call to go vertical on that 1st score? great play call against an aggressive defense that expected our dink and dunk offense all afternoon

And no more going to the sidelines for every play while simplifying the offense. :D

Thankfully the "Walk of Shame" is gone.

I still have no problem with going to the sideline. Option is standing there reading signals or sending someone into the game with a play. If he were my age in my condition it would be a problem but not young kids.

And if you wonder why no one else does it, if you watched UCF beat Louisiville, Bortels did it once or twice in UCF's winning drive so it worked for them.

As long as we have the ability to not use it when we go up tempo, such as we are doing this year I am fine. Now if we had to do it and could not run an up tempo that would be different.

JJ has said that he used the 'walk' to coach. I suspect GG's maturity has played a role in the present situation.

It would really be interesting to actually know who actually calls what plays during the game.

I have to believe Mummy has a big role. The last 5 years other than injury we stayed with the same 4 receivers most of every game. Now we are shuttling them in and out along with many different formations. This difference has come with the addition of Mummy. It may be just Jones expanding his offense but my bet is Mummy.

I like that we are feeling comfortable on offense to actually run plays with QB decisions instead of the quick pre-planned screens. Not sure if that is because the team is getting more used to the offense, or if it is because we are more confident with the o-line, but I think that is what is allowing us to throw down the field a little more.

JJ used "the walk" to shorten the game because the offense wasn't effective and he didn't want the defense on the field the whole game.

Wow, you'll make up anything to support JJ. I know you must have had one of your secret interviews with him and he told told you that. SMH.
