We dropped the #5 team in the nation right now from our 2013 schedule and STILL played one of the hardest OOC schedules in the country.

Should have kept Baylor, would have been a sellout and a chance to see once of the most exciting teams in the nation at Ford.

and we are playing 5 teams that are 97th or worse in the NCAA. SMU has the 5th toughest schedule in Texas and has an easier conference schedule than another school in Houston who has to not only play Louisville-they play them on the Road and also play UCF on the road. That's 2 in conference Top 25 road games we don't have plus Boise dropped out of the Big East we signed up for so we could play Big Boy football

No thanks. Never mind the fact that I hate everything about that school and Waco. I have no desire to see Baylor win at anything, and as ugly as it was, that win over Montana State could end up being vitally important.

You talking about for a 6-6 season in a with the easiest conference schedule of anybody by not having to play Louisville? Right Corso?

We'll check in with 'ya BCS when we get our [deleted] together-too tough right now-thanks but we'll pass-but keep reservation open OK

I didn't hear TCU fans whine this much about joining the BCS when they play a schedule TWICE as hard-they played like 10 bowl teams last year

Yep limping to a meaningless bowl at 6-6 in Year 6 is "vitally important" to this program. Much more vital than actually beating opponents that matter  .

Right, because we would've beat Baylor this year. That game would have been over in the 2nd quarter

IPF won't build relationships at Desoto, Lancaster, Allen, Duncanville, Cedar Hill, and numerous other Metroplex and Texas recruiting hotspots. I really think the IPF is quickly becoming the crutch of choice for a lot of SMU fans. It would be great-but its not anywhere close to the real problem

You're probably right but we'll never really know for sure. I do know that game would have generated far more interest than some ESPN3 slapfight versus Bozeman College.

The very fact that people are scared of Baylor (a program in virtually the same place as us when we both made coaching changes 6 years ago) should speak volumes to those that think June has us on the right track.

I agree Stallion. The IPF stuff is a big waste of time. Would be nice, but not near the top of our list of problems.

It's a symbol of our Admin's not-all-in attitude. If football was important we'd have one by now.

The day after JJ tried to leave for ASU and was allowed to return is the day you knew SMU was not all in to be successful in football. We are paying dearly for that today. It was the catastrophic moment in this program's history and in turn we will never be a part of the p5

Amen and thank you.
