Anyone watch the end zone replay of Shead fumble? His knee was down before the fumble/strip.

Also, that "great" one handed catch by the Temple Wr wasn't...it hit the turf and was trapped.

Shead's knee was not down and you couldn't really see if the ball was trapped on the catch.

looked to me like Shead's knee was down before he was stripped of that ball

Shead's knee was not down and you couldn't really see if the ball was trapped on the catch.


Shead's knee was absolutely down - it was obvious on the replay on TV and the ball absolutely hit the ground as #4 was coming down to the ground.

And to the tough guy who said that one should hold on to the ball, let's go out and pull you backwards with hundreds of pounds laying on you and rip your MCL (that was just previously strained) and see if you still hold onto the ball.

catch: the rule is that your hands have to be under the ball as you hit the ground. it was split between his hands, and the nose of the ball hit ground with his hands towards the side. by rule, not a catch.

knee: it was clearly down. it was stripped as his ACL was being shred.
