This is strictly game day - X's and O's, time management, intangibles.

Can you start another poll on how many of us saw Matty Bell or Ray Morrison coach a game. This is a very tough poll when we have not all seen all the participants.
I will say this. I love Hayden Fry. I played for and coached under Hayden Fry. I was on the sidelines of games with Hayden Fry. Hayden Fry was an offensive genius. Hayden Fry was not, at least at SMU, a good game day coach at the time I spent with him. I will not go into specifics on this board but if anyone wants to talk about on the boulevard I will be glad to do so.
And being that I was not on the sideline with any other coach on the list, I would have trouble casting a vote for anyone.

I included the major coaches as I did not want this post to be declared an anti-June post. Thus it is not an anti-June post. I really want to know the Mustang Nation's opinion.

Its easier to be a good gameday Coach when you recruit well enough to alternate an entire OLine, entire DLine and RBs. But both Meyer and Collins had strong 4th Quarter teams

That's just "mediocre" pay for a BCS college coach nowdays.

PS- just shows how much we are over-paying. We might be in a BCS conference this year but our results (TT, TCU, etc.) show that we sure aren't close to BCS quality.

IMO meek was an arrogant jerk. greatly disliked him. Sleepy and Cudmore were much better as coaches. I also thought meek didn't come to SMU until late '56 or early '57.
