good article from the temple perspective.

from what little i have been able to read about gg and the draft his stock is rising. hard to say what the scouts think about him. he has the size, intelligence, running ability and arm strength. i think he is going to be drafted but how high i don't know. what do you guys think about his nfl chances?

Gilbert is tailor-made for the draft process due to his measurables and Boy Scout personality/background. Of course it's probably going to be a very deep draft with many early entrant QBs so Gilbert likely gets pushed to the UDFA pool. Best case scenario is he shows enough in camp to be a practice squad QB.

He hasn't proved the intelligence part. The one consistent knock on him has been the mental aspect/decision making. He has every other tool.

I think his measureables will get him drafted by someone. Has prototype size, speed, elusiveness and arm strength. People will blame lack of accuracy on the o-line and say he put up huge numbers considering

What may hold him back at the next level is the time it takes for him to make decisions.

Y'all keep saying that and we keep getting players working their way into the upper half of NFL teams.

Wouldn't be surprised if he ended up playing for Bruce Arians in Arizona.

I think he definitely gets drafted. Very proto type QB for the NFL. He will finish in the top ten QB's this year statistically. he one dig - decision making - has been much better this year - working through his reads pretty quickly.

I think he will be drafted. How high depends on what he does for the rest of the season.

the cowgirls should probably start thinking about a replacement for romo- at least one who could come in and start learning the system. Of course, that could all change if they go into 'total fail' mode and garrett is replaced at the end of the season.

I don't see him getting drafted based on his past but this season I think people will see him in a different life. I think he will have to go through camp to get onto a team. I think if he continues to be patient and on his toes, he will continue to impress people.
