Local car dealer in Little Rock put everyone on notice in the summer that if Arkansas did not win a conference game he would give away 12 cars, one a month, over the next year. Not looking good for him.

He broadcast it openly over the air and after the first few games when the team was not looking very sharp he reiterated the deal and stood by it. He will honor the pledge if they do not win a game. He is that type of man and also very wealthy.

Only 12 cars?
Most SEC boosters give away at least 15 a year.
Cheap skate.

The key on stuff like that is did he specify the type of car? My dad was a dealer and would give 10 cars away for a dollar on new years day, the catch was the cars were just $1000 cars, but he got great publicity

I heard him make the original deal. I honestly do not recall but I think he did say new cars. They were talking in excess of $250,000.

Are Razorback players disqualified Mrydel? If not, I bet they do NOT win any conference games this year!

I do not think he really thought the whole thing out. But he owns 13 dealerships, 2 steakhouses, a fur shop, real estate firm, and a Hotel. If he were an SMU person he would be on the COC. I will watch to see if any new recruits win the drawing or whatever he does.

I have a feeling that he is going to be putting in an order for 12 1972 Pinto Wagons.

They have a chance against Mississippi State at home. He's in trouble otherwise.
Outside of that, he's going to clean up publicity wise.

If he loses I can assure you he will find a way to make it work well for himself.

Is he giving the cars to 12 5-star prospects?

Now come on. They know better than that. They give them out based on offers, not stars.

I won't be surprised of some of the cars go to the parents of some recruits.

Offers not stars, got it. So, if a prospect is offered a pickup, does that meany Arky has to offer the same model?
