GG is playing on fire right now and I'm going to say we go to Cincy and pull out a win and that will be 3 in a row for our Stangs.

Your thoughts.

I'm starting to think we lose to Cinci, then win the next 3, then lose to UCF

It's a must win to have a chance to reach our goals. It will take a good performance, but I have real hope that with the way our offense has been playing that we can win it and to be honest I think we will.

It's going to be a fun game.

CINCI
PS/G: 34.0 (38th of 125)
PA/G: 18.0 (11th of 125)
SRS: -0.56 (75th of 124)
SOS: -11.31 (123rd of 124)

SMU
PS/G: 32.7 (44th of 125)
PA/G: 42.0 (120th of 125)
SRS: -7.45 (99th of 124)
SOS: -0.45 (67th of 124)

* SRS - Simple Rating System; a rating that takes into account average point differential and strength of schedule. The rating is denominated in points above/below average, where zero is average, although it should be noted that margin of victory has been assigned a lower bound of 7 points and an upper bound of 24 points. Non-major opponents are included as a single team in the ratings. My colleague Doug Drinen of Pro-Football-Reference.com has written a great explanation of this method.

The only team that is remotely good that UC played (Illinois) put up 42 on Cinci. I really think we won't have a lot of problem putting up some good offensive numbers. Hopefully, the D can come through.

4 of the last 5 Cincy opponents went into the game with Cincy without a win. That isn't exactly a bruising schedule. Not that we have proven to be world beaters but we have played only one team in the last five that had no wins going into our game. We can win this game. We have to overcome the JJ mentality of ‘it’s difficult to win on the road’. We can win against a solid opponent (despite their opponents, they have taken care of business and won) on the road. .

If we win the next 3 in a row, I think Houston and UCF will be the least of our concerns...we should then focus on beating TCU and Baylor next year
