The Big12 has 7 bowl tie-ins, but could easily end up with only 6 bowl eligible teams. That might free up a spot in Houston.
If we can beat UConn, USF, and 1 of the other 3, we would give the AAC 6 teams for 5 spots (assuming Rutgers doesn't poop the bed). Personally, I think Houston would be a better spot for us than any of the other AAC bowls.

Big 12 situation:
5 already eligible TCU - has to win out, including Baylor WVU - I think they have to win out (They played William & Mary and Georgia State, and since Georgia State is still transitional, I think they can't count both towards bowl eligibility) KSU - Have to beat Kansas and one of TCU/OU/Tech

It's a possibility. I don't see TCU winning out, rather I see them losing all remaining games. Their team has lost all confidence in themselves and their offense is inexistent.

SMU in the Texas Bowl in Reliant Stadium in Houston? Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!!!!!!!!! Seriously, stop; you're killing me.
The goal for bowl promoters is to fill the stadium: (A) Houstonians barely know that SMU exists; (B) SMU has a notoriously small alumni and fan base; and (C) the SMU football brand is in the "half-off" bin, as far as TV sets are concerned.
Predicted: Kansas State and Iowa, two large, state schools from major conferences.

You moved it back from the UCONN game???
Also, I don't really have a problem with what he said. Sadly, (right now) it's true

Sometimes, the truth can be like a punch in the face.
Also, I would drop the silly "Cougar High" and "NTSU" ridicule; such stuff is unbecoming of us. They are what they are, but this year, UNT and Houston will both probably be in bowl games while SMU sits at home watching. Just reality. I hope one doesn't have to be delusional to be loyal.

Blackout, who gets to take on Pugilist Pony? He got no wrasslin and doesn't know how to actually use the clinch game or defend kicks. Piece of cake for either of us.
Mute and start at minute 4. Unless you like Russian.

I submit that thus far I have gone untouched.
The first step in solving a problem is to accurately assess the situation. Those who refuse to even acknowledge the situation are doing SMU no favor.
Assignment: Compare and contrast TCU's Sun Bowl win over USC and Rose Bowl win over Wisconsin with SMU's Hawaii Bowl win over Nevada-Reno, BBVA Bowl win over Pitt and Hawaii Bowl win over Fresno State.
An upset win over Cincinnati this Saturday would be a very good step in the right direction. I will be cheering for it.
