we still need to win out. the only differnce is that all the teams ahead of us in the standings need to have an epic collapse.
we are still in this. keep hope alive.
https://www.google.com/#q=american+athletic+conferencecorrection. we cannot possibly make the bcs.
sorry. my bad.

Idiotic thread even prior to the correction. Bcs hopes have been dead since we needed a last second victory over Montana state. It would be the biggest joke to date if we were in a bcs game. We do not deserve to be mentioned in that context. I wish things were different. That's just the current state of this program.
Go hoops.

Title of the thread is mathematically correct. Not going to happen, but still technically alive.

Hahaha I just laughed out loud. We aren't even going to a bowl, much less a bcs bowl
PS It's basketball season. Football is done

Before the season started, I optimistically thought that we could go 9-3; certainly no worse than 6-6.
However, I was concerned with our D because of losing some play makers.
The way our D is playing this year, and the shear volume of penalties on the offense, I think we're capping out at 5 wins.
No bowl, no conference championship, and certainly no BCS.

Sadly, I've called 4 to 5 wins all season. I think we beat UConn and then I'm not so sure where/if else. The biggest frustration is that this team just lacks that killer instinct / winning attitude. Imagine if we didn't have GG. We might be looking at a 1 win season.

I wouldn't be surprised if USF or UConn beat us as well as cougar high and UCF. Hence we aren't going to any bowl other than the toilet bowl.. Thank you jj for all your outstanding recruiting.

I don't see it as recruiting as we are bigger, faster and have more depth.
Now coaching, hitting in practice and team energy and focus... That I'll agree to.
Win Mustangs.

How can you not say it's recruiting when hardly any of our players receive any offers from BCS schools? Is JJ the only coach in America that can find all 20-25 "diamond in the rough" recruits every year that are going to pan out and be as good as the majority of players on even lower level BCS teams? If so, it seems that lopsided losses to Tech and TCU start to show that he can't. All of our "ditr" players can't even beat teams with winning records 50% of the time. I do agree with you that the lack of physical practices do hurt the team when the season starts as it always seems that it takes 3-4 games before the teams seems to be adjusted to playing something besides "flag football". However, it all starts with recruiting quality players and when the majority of your players are only getting offers from Texas State, Sam Houston, etc, etc, all of those other coaches passing on them, can't always be wrong.

Beat winning teams 50% of the time? We've beat 6 winning teams in 6 years
