I didn't watch the game since it started at 3:30am my time and we have work on Sunday, but is this stat correct?? If so, great job to our coaching staff and players-- especially the linemen

I believe that is correct. It was a false start if I remember correctly.

A major reason we won. Losing the best player GG, playing on the road, and having a flat first half would have been a huge disaster if we had our usual 10-12 penalties.

Delay of game shortly after Burcham had come in. We also had a holding penalty but there was a sack on the play and it was declined.

Like mrydel said, the other penalty we committed got declined due to the result of the play.

There you go. Not sure why I even tried.

Exactly. Of the two teams, SMU was by far the most disciplined.

I was at the game and USF had more physically imposing players, but that advantage was negated by their numerous penalties. Even more dramatic, the penatlies weren't of the 5 yard variety but rather 10 or 15 yards. USF penalties greatly aided several SMU drives.

It is inexcusable that we did not have more penalties. I always want more stress and frustration while watching the Ponies play.
