Have we ever had two nationally televised games in one day?

11a - SMU football vs. Houston ESPN2
6:30p - SMU basketball vs. Virginia CBSSN

pretty cool. It'd be great to go 2-0

That couldn't be any further from the truth.

If there's any local college team DFW folks would claim, it's TCU

This! My sister is at UH for her masters and hates it. My dad played football and ran track during the early 80s there as well and said he always wished SMU would have recruited him instead of Whouston. The place is a shithole.

You think? I've come across a TON of Sooners in Dallas.

If she hates it so much then why didn't she go elsewhere, nobody forced your dad to play sports there either.

I almost added OU, but, really, the powers that be all assume that UT is the home team.

My sister chose it because her fiance took a job in Houston and there weren't many options. They both hate Houston btw and are looking to relocate to Dallas asap. As for my dad he was not fortunate to receive offers from SMU but UH was willing to offer him a full ride plus cash benefits so he decided to take what he could. He made a successful career but it was not at all through the UH network.

Fair enough.

LOL. There are literally ZERO kids at SMU who thought for two seconds about going to Houston. They are a safety school and nothing else. Our peer institutions are heads and shoulders above that glorified junior college.

Just stop responding to the troll.

The only reason he is doing it is to get a rise out of everyone. Just ignore him and he will go away.

It's alright, he didn't miss out. The "SMU network" whatever that means, is overrated. I've never gotten a job through it. But I did make friends in school who have helped me out and vice-versa and you can do that pretty much anywhere.
