Maybe we should list the dominoes as they fall.
Wyoming's Dave Christensen is said to be resigning. At one time he was a hot commodity, the former OC at Mizzou.

Tough to build a program in Wyoming. No fans- no people, really. Not many viable prospects within several hundred miles of campus.

True. That's a tough job. I would have said the same thing about Boise State 15 years ago, though.
You've really got to mine the JUCO/transfer pipeline there. Hell, we should be doing the same thing more than we already are.

This is also our competition - so would be good to keep track of which schools we will have to beat out in attracting good candidates.
What other schools will be hiring in December that we need to watch out for?

Administration must not have broken all those promises it made to them.

Talked to WYO folks - Christensen dismissal is somewhat amicable/mutual. He knows OC market is in high demand in BCS/SEC.
Hmmm...maybe we could get June to take an OC job somewhere more appealing to him on the West Coast?

Assistant coaches need to be able to recruit. Between that and ego I cannot imagine Jones as an OC unless perhaps in the NFL.

It is a challenge.

I haven't seen a full list yet, but the only ones I can think of:
EMU
FAU
UConn
USC
Wyoming

There are more people in the Boise metro area than in the entire state of Wyoming

True, my point was more about where HS talent is. But yeah, there's a lot more in Idaho, even if there's not much.
Both are really difficult places to recruit Black players, but Wyoming is a lot harder, I'd have to think.
