If I were AD Hart...

I would fire June ASAP on sheer principle. 1st there is the ASU fiasco and now he most recently insults the university to the DMN and ESPN coverage team. I would call him into my office, verbally undress his arrogant @zz and give him 10 minutes to collect his s**t.
If we want to be taken seriously we must first look in the mirror and ask ourselves what we are going to do about it.

I'd ask the CoC what do they want to do about the situation

Need lots of PR work like a celebrity does when touring shows for a new film.
Even have the best Super Bowl commercial for SMU.

I would have a recommendation.

I agree. He should at least have a recommendation and RGT should go with him with the same recommendation.

They would probably just accuse you of being a dissatisfied lemur.

What was Bill Clement's response to President Hardin and President' Shields when they started questioning cheating in athletic department

Well he told presidents to run university...they would handle athletics.
I'm confused and don't see anybody in CoC (Board of Governors gone) that could or would say that.
Only comparison is we are in an impossible situation to escape without pain.

People want to avoid pain, I understand that. But JJ's actions regarding ASU and recent quotes means that if push comes to shove, SMU should not back down for fear of hurting JJ's feelings or for how it might be perceived by others. USC's Lane Kiffin wasn't even allowed on the bus ride home from LAX, he was fired by AD Pat Haden in the parking lot.

I wonder if the RGT, Hart, and the CoC will allow June to make these types of statements publicly and come back to SMU a second time. The first time was during the ASU mess.

I think June's actions in not only criticizing his employer, but implicitly President Turner and AD Hart require his termination. If I were the AD I would fire him, even if it meant I had to hire the cheapest coach in the world for one year as an interim coach until I could afford to hire a permanent coach. His untruthful criticism can not be tolerated.

The comments do not reflect a healthy relationship at the very least…can't help but think that getting canned might not just be an exit that JJ looks at with some degree of satisfaction. Don't know the contractual terms, but it would salvage a reputation ("the ungrateful SMU fans/admin") perception, while maybe giving some degree of $$ satisfaction as well. In any case, this has not turned out to be all warm and fuzzy.
that said, I was at least heartened that the team played and competed to some degree in abysmal conditions.

The more I think about Stallions comparison with Bill Clements...the more I think the current situation is similar.
Clements did not create the terrible situation of facing all bad options during the Death Penalty era...but he had the balls to make a decision when nobody else would.
So here we are facing all bad options again. Whoever makes whichever bad decision we make will be damaged.
Who has the balls to be Bill Clements 2.0?
