I think the answer is pretty obvious.

But "It's tougher to win and recruit there than you think." Rick splained it to us.

Jones makes more than the Rice, Tulane and NTSU coaches combined! Wow.

Would be great to have made this into a poll and be able to identify any goober that actually replied "yes."

Think Tulane's coach just got extended with a pay raise

Rice (10-3) and Tulane (7-5) are much easier places to win and recruit to. They don't require a $2M dollar man as head coach.

So, we could hire Tulane's, Rice's, UNT's and UTSA's head coaches for less than $100K more than we pay JJ.

We aren't getting our money's worth...we pay JJ 2M a year. How much does the conference pay us annually? 4 Million?

So 1/2 the money goes into paying for our coach to take us 5-7...

For one thing, the AAC conference payout has nothing to do with June's salary. . . CoC pays June. Not SMU or the AAC.

so we could hire Coker for 800k, and then use 700k to supplement salaries for the best four recruiters you can find, and still have 500k a year left over to service the debt on a new IPF. There - I fixed that for you! Next issue?

For one thing, I know SMU or the AAC don't pay June's salary. What I am saying is that there is no return on that investment. The guy costs the boosters 2 M and the program generates 4M plus whatever money we make on ticket sales ( ) and other sources of revenue...

How much do we get from UCF's Fiesta Bowl appearance this year?

Payout is around $17M/team, I think. Doesn't UCF get half and the other half is distributed amongst the other AAC teams? By my calculations: $17M/2/9 teams= $944,444.44 for SMU. I'm sure it's not actually divided that evenly, but still not a bad pay day. We can at least buy some new uniforms with that!
