Jones has hit a wall in Dallas, one that he and his program are struggling to scale. With Saturday’s loss to UCF, the Mustangs finished below .500—and outside the bowl picture—for the first time since 2008. While Jones has done a tremendous of building a foundation at SMU, the whispers about his future are growing increasingly louder.
