I predict David Shaw from Stanford. They will swing and miss on a few huge names but being a Harbaugh protege, being young, coming from Stanford....I think he gets the job

Shaw will be one of those huge names that turns them down.

No chance. Shaw has a secure position at Stanford. He will make 3+ million a year and only needs to be " competitive" and do things right.

The next UT coach is Urban Meyer . He knows he doesn't have the talent in the Midwest to recruit to OSU and win a championship. He can't pull guys out of the south because of the SEC programs.
He knows that Texas has the facilities, recruiting area and league to get to the National Championship.

There is a reason Mack will coach through the bowl. That's because their candidate is coaching in a bowl and isn't available.

Urban Meyer can keep Mack's recruiting class together and in fact improve it.

If you can win at Stanford, you have to wonder what you could do with unlimited resources....and 7 million dollars helps. Going to be fun to watch for sure.

Maybe the listen to Stallion and hire Todd Dodge as the head coach, Gary Gibbs as DC, Charlie Waters as the secondary coach and Glen Mason as the OC!

So OSU has won as many national championships as texas in the last 16 years and also just like texas played for a 2nd national championship. There is plenty of talent all around the country as OSU recruited not only from the entire Midwest but also nationally. Meyer was a game away from playing in another national championship with OSU.

It's Art Briles, he already has huge recruiting ties in Texas. It will take Shaw 5 years to catch up with Briles.

Who da heck cares about who ends up being Texas' coach? We should be worrying about who's going to be SMU's coach at this moment!

Les Miles. He won't have to play Alabama, Auburn, and aTm every year in his division, along with Florida as his permanent crossover.
