I will say this: Even if we don't go bowling next year either...at least I hope we return the favor and demolish the frogs by 3 touchdowns at least! I will call it a season if we beat them 42-21 or something like that at our house! 1-11 would taste so sweet 8)

So you'll gloat over 1 win? That's way below mediocrity... I know your heart is in the right place but COME ON MAN! I'm losing hope more and more with this football program but make no mistake I've will show up for every game I can make.... I really just feel that we're stuck in reverse as long as June is the coach....

I am not wishing that we go 1-11, but I am saying that in the event that our team does not perform how we would like for it to perform, demolishing TCU would at least make it bearable

I know for sure we aren't going 1-11. Even with June at the helm, the players are going to be better next year since our O line will be older and more experienced/bigger/stronger which will open up the running game for Prescott and Traylon Shead, protect Burcham better so he can set up the passing game and our defense will be in better shape. Mason's defense bailed us out of June's faulty offenses from 2009-2012 so I believe that team will be awesome next year...And finally June's offense seemed to be clicking much better halfway through the season once he has a QB. Burcham should be that first QB that he will develop so I believe in him.

And yes, I'm still going to all our home games...we have a really good slate of teams coming to visit:

Aggy
TCU
Cincinnati
Houston
USF
Memphis

By the way, I am waiting for the JJ thing to be official, but lose or win we can do Barley before or after one of the games at Moody.

Fatterson is good at figuring coaches out...He has Art Briles and June Jones all figured out (The only times he has lost to them were by less than 7 points)...so at least TCU fans can rest assured that even if their season collapses, they will always play their rivals close and most likely beat or humiliate them. Our chance to beat TCU was this year, because once they start building Big 12 depth, we will never beat them again...unfortunately, unless we get a new coach that can recruit and make SMU a Rose Bowl, perfect season team...

Patterson already told us he's not helping SMU out anymore.

Other than the Aggs and Frogs, how do you know the remainder of our home schedule. AAC adds three teams in July, Pirates, Tulane and Tulsa. also the departure dates for both Louisville and Rutgers have not been officially announced as far as I know. so it seems our conference home schedule is totally unknown for 2014.

I know for sure they will want SMU playing Cincinnati and Houston, since we want a shot at revenge vs Cincy and Houston is our natural rival in the conference (a game that I can see happening in thanksgiving weekend like always). USF and Memphis are better than having Tulsa, Tulane or ECU come play us...but those two spots remain a toss up.

As far as Louisville and Rutgers, they are gone...

Do you know something we don't? It doesn't matter if we "want a shot at revenge" against Cincinnati. The league makes the schedule, not the athletic department. With Tulsa, Tulane and East Carolina joining the conference, how do you know which teams we'll play? Has that been released and I missed it?

Also, I disagree with the idea that USF and Memphis would be better draws than Tulsa and Tulane. We have a little more history with Tulsa and Tulane, and they're closer, so maybe some of their fans would make the trek to Dallas? (Maybe Tulane and Memphis are similar, but I would bet that Tulsa would be the best draw of any of them.)

USF is recruiting at BCS levels...even after their horrible season. They will jump back into the top of the conference along with UCF, Houston and Cincinnati. So I think they will be much better than having CUSA leftovers playing at our house.

We will be left behind unless we do something to get to the top and win a conference championship.

how long is your "learning curve" going to take because this is really getting annoying

FTHP - I love your enthusiasm, but perhaps you should be more selective with your posts.

Rule of thumb - for every 4 posts you want to write / threads you want to start, you should only do half of them. Constant posts/threads + uphill learning curve = ridicule. :)

One can only hope but reality is a [deleted] sometimes. Highly unlikely we beat any Big 12 team next year.
