They scheduled UNC, NC State and Virginia Tech and beat two of the three.

They sure did put on a nice performance in the Beef O Bodden Bowl today. Good for them.

But but but scheduling competition your fans actually want to see will ruin your season

I'd like to have Bay Tech and aTm in a down year too

NC State is horrible.
UNC is not that good.
Had they only done two (instead of 3) they could have had 11 wins.
This is also beside the point, lets look at their results vs P5 over the past 2-3 seasons and it probably won't be a winning majority of the games.

Why does everyone always neglect to recognize schedules are made 5 years in advance. Regardless of this years talent at UNC or NC St., ECU still had the nerve to schedule them.

Don't hear that mentioned often during all the whining about the schedule, way too many people are assuming we can just pick and choose whatever team we want whenever it's convenient for us.

They beat both instate rivals, I believe for the first time ever. They beat them soundly, by 24 and 14 points and on the road.

Look forward to having the Pirates back on our schedule. Did a road trip to Greenville several years ago to see SMU blow a big lead and then win in OT. 50,000 + at the game. Their fans were great even after the loss. After that, down to the Carolina coast for a few days. Great trip.

This was a year we could have blown TCU out! We missed out on like 4 straight opportunities to score on the redzone!

that's our point-you can't beat them if they aren't on the schedule. Tech was even a bigger lost opportunity-Hell even I I almost predicted an upset

I'd like to have a staff that works their tails off getting the best talent to SMU as they can, not just offering players that say they want to go to SMU. We should be scheduling our in state rivals (any of them) and competing with them.

I guess we'll see how good or bad UNC is when they play Cincinnati in the Belk bowl.
