I think we should also join the sec, hire Saban, bring 100k to each game and win a national title. You know, because I want them to.

PonyFans.com is part of the USAToday sports network in that they sell ad space and we get a modest revenue split from them. It's not much, but it keeps the site afloat and let's us occasionally spring for a post-game burger for our crew.

When we have more impressions available than advertising they've sold, rather the just displaying empty ad windows, the remnant space automatically reverts to Google ads. Google is pretty smart in that they're able to populate the ads you see on PonyFans based on your search history. For example, I've been looking at upgrading the home theater projector at my house, so many of the ads I see on PonyFans are projectors.

My guess is that soccermom probably looked at the Gary Patterson/TCU facilities video or maybe went and looked at something else TCU-related, Google recorded that, and now Google ads are populating her PonyFans browser window with TCU ads.

I don't think it's any sort of sinister marketing intelligence on the part of TCU, rather it's USAToday Sports' fault for not doing a very good job selling ads on the network.
