In last 5 recruiting classes, the teams in the National Championship have Top 10 recruiting classes:
Florida St. 5 out of 5 years
Auburn 4 out of 5 years
the only year Auburn missed was 2009 and technically that Class has graduated except for redshirts

Gus Malzhan completely fooled Florida St getting receiver 30 yards open in the opening series but Marshall underthrows it.

Malzhan has Florida St. secondary completely fooled for 3rd time. Auburn looks physically and mentally dominate like you'd expect SEC Champion playing your typical ACC Champ

Malzahn has amazed me for the past several years including his high school coaching days.

You see the risk in selecting coordinators as head coaches when you notice the outstanding DC at Auburn could not win a game as head coach at Southern Miss.

It's early but Florida State better score soon and make it 14-10, or it could start to slip away.

I think Florida State can easily come back but Auburn sure has them rattled right now. And one thing that Malzahn knows how to do is keep the pedal down.

Mark the Florida State QB seems very rattled.

Yep. The fake punt might help them get it together. But personally I am rooting for Auburn.

Speaking of Vic has there ever been someone who was both an ex-Smu player and ex-Smu Coach ever win a D1 College Football National Championship ring?

Bradley Dale Peveto is about as close as your going to get. Played at SMU and coached LSU during NC year
