I find it hard to believe Boise has a higher "valuation" than tcu. The revenue gap had to be significant. Of course private schools are more of a guessing game so take it with a grain of salt. South florida????

I agee about USF. It says that value does not correspond entirely with revue and cash flow (which aren't that great to begin with - their attendance was down 20% this year) but what major assts do they have? I don't think they have their own stadium, their coaching staff isn't all that proven, their practice facilities may be nice but can't make up the difference by themselves. Is it all real estate?

And how the heck is Memphis above Houston in terms of value? Houston's budget is bigger, their TV market is bigger, their facilities were already better and now they are about to be a whole lot better, their coaching staff, especially over the past couple of regimes, have fared far better and I believe are paid more......

This just doesn't make sense to me.

I'll have to look at the methodology. Seems like that valuations and rankings (at least football-wise) are pretty similar which also correspond relatively closely to recruiting classes (again, football-wise).

So football recruiting and valuations are somewhat correlated? Hmmmm.

Fair enough, but I remember North Carolina, who I remember having the highest revenue basketball program, is not particularly high on the list.

I can't take this as all that helpful.

USF leases the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium...they don't even have their own house. USF doesn't have an IPF. I can argue SMU is a stronger/better brand in Football/Athletics than USF.

So we are stuck in have not heaven then...left out of the realignment once again...just like when SWC became Big 12 and we weren't invited.

Our coach's buy-out is ~15% of what out entire program is worth!

Sadly, yes. I don't understand how our Athletics Department can just sit idly by while we are left at the bottom of the pile in the have nots.

Goal should be to increase our athletic budget to BCS levels if we want to be competitive, and that means start spending more than $30 Million in Football instead of the actual $16M.

Troll, for the record, the BCS no longer exists. Neither does the Big East, and in case you forgot, we're not in the Big XII. Just your friendly reminder, which you will disregard.
