Searching for optimism...

...and here's all I can come up with: June is a lame duck and everyone knows it. Hence Mumme jumping ship and Phillips possibly doing the same. We will suck this year and June will be announced to be gone late in the season. The lone benefit to this is Rick Hart will have an entire year to build a list of coaching candidates and be ready to hit the ground running interviewing coaches as soon as June is out, or an announcement is made saying he won't be back in 2015.

Welcome to what A&M fans felt in the last year of Franchione.

It is a vicious cycle of wanting to win but hoping that if you lose it's bad enough that it will make the big money folk take their heads out their butts and cut bait.

Sadly, June probably isn't dumb enough to sell a secret newsletter detailing game plans, recruiting, and injuries to use as cover to force him out.

Just hope he can find a coach that has a vision for SMU & not excuses why we can't do this & can't do that! But that attitude starts at the top.

Or he is just to lazy to put something like that together. Maybe he will sell time with him and the overhead projector.

Unfair I know, but I had to say it.

I dubbed him as more of a golfer but bowling is fine as long as they serve beer. ;)
