Just ran down the list of local MLB draftees, and it appears a certain incoming SMU QB was drafted in the 17th round. Congratulations to Richard Bartel!

I would imagine, and I may be mistaken, that this will have no effect whatsoever on his playing football for the ponies in the fall. The 17th round is awfully late. If it was the 1-5 rounds, I would worry, but he not gonna make enough $$$ to want to give up football. JMO>
