How pathetic, in year 6 he's still afraid of the big boys. Larry brown hasn't completed two years yet and he already has the big dawgs fearing him.

Not sure how true that is, but I can say the following:

Cincinnati's non-conference schedule is so screwed up as far as dates that they will play (due to very poor planning by their ex-AD) that they will either have to play a conference game on opening day or take all three of their bye-weeks within the first week of the season. It is the reason why the conference schedule with dates has not yet been released. Last I heard, the conference is trying to schedule a conference game for them on opening weekend. But Cincy's only opponent that has an opening on their schedule that weekend is @Tulane, and Tulane's stadium won't be ready by that time so they can't host. And of course Tulane has told the conference that they will not pay Superdome rent for a game to bail Cincy out of this scheduling mess.

So the conference has asked all of Cincy's opponents to check into being available to play on opening day.

How does Cincy take 3 bye weeks in the first week of the season?

Meant to say "first 5 weeks." I need to drink coffee before posting.

Yet another sign that June's system isn't working nearly as well as he claims it is. Not sure why Baylor would let us out when that would mean they'd have to schedule a 2nd FCS team.

Understood. I thought you had posted an article. Thought they had meant month rather than week.

Interesting about Cincy. Personally, I'd love to see the Baylor game go away. I know that statement won't go over well on PF, but the bottom line is that Baylor is going to crush us. We all know it. I'd rather see our boys at least be competitive in week 1. Not trying to [deleted] anyone off. I get it. . . I'm a defeatist loser.

Meanwhile SMU looking for 5th victory over Top 25 team in basketball in Larry Brown's 2nd year. A 1 point loss to another leading the ACC. Competitive in all matchups against Top 25 home and away. But June has developed over the years a system of recruiting....

I went to the AAC message board and all of the talk is about a multi team switch to make it work out, no one mentioned us. That is not to say that SMU would not jump on the opportunity to sadly "have" to cancel the Baylor game of course.

"june is backing out"

can we have a point of reference?

where does this come from?. if we can trade this game for a better match up, we should.

This is super important to me. My high school senior is going to Baylor next year and we've been planning forever for that game to open their new stadium!
