SPRING PRACTICE?

Postby redpony » Wed Mar 12, 2014 12:49 pm

PP- has spring practice been cancelled? Haven't noticed any reports after the first three.
We miss your good work and analysis.

Thanks, red pony, for the nice words, but East Coast Mustang is right — spring break.
Practice resumes next week.

Is it just me or does it seem strange that we started spring practice a few days before spring break? Have a few practices and then spring break and then come back for me seems odd. Why not just start after spring break?

I have asked this question each year since it has been done this way. Makes no sense to me to break it up and lose continuity in learning but this is what they do.

Since NCAA requires 3 days with no pads this is why they did those 3 days before spring break. Come back Tuesday in pads.

Is the team going to tackle or is it still the half/three quarter speed of typical JJ practices when they put pads on?

I know you information is more inside than mine but I specifically remember it being split recently. May not have been last year but if not it was the year or two before. I remember because this same conversation came up at the time. It was like 3 days of practice then off for many days before starting again.

I hear June was breaking out the flags for the rest of Spring.

OK, couldn't resist.
