It's exciting to read about the progress of the cornerbacks. We are going to need them to step up this fall.
I also love the attitude of the nose tackles!

Love Saena's attitude. We'll see if it translates out on the field. If you don't have a team full of that kind of attitude, you don't have the right team.

Hopefully Mason can get the DL coached up to a level to take some of the pressure off the young secondary. It sounds good so far.

I'm going to end up talking myself into this team by the time August rolls around. Returning all of our DL, Sanders, Yenga, and Seals should hopefully take some pressure off of our inexperienced secondary. Having Hollie (6'4 310) and Saena (6'5 320) at NT is legit size to have for young depth- now if they can just play. Here's hoping Minor has a big year along with Beau and Zach at the DE spots

...after the first quarter and a 24 point Baylor lead will snap you right back to reality

Probably true. But a lot of decent teams will get steamrolled by Baylor this year. The UNT game will tell me if this team has anything in the tank. We should win that game and it shouldn't be a nailbiter. If we don't, it's going to be a looooong season

True, the UNT game will be a pretty good barometer of how the season will go.
I don't think it's unrealistic to expect SMU to hang with Baylor until the game gets out of hand this season though.

Well it is realistic that we hang with everyone until it gets out of hand.

there's an idea for a poll question coming into those games we know we are going to be manhandled in...in what quarter will the game get "out of control"?

Baylor just scored actually. Already down 14.

Maybe it has been explained somewhere and certainly it has been overshadowed by hoops, but NTR for football on the 20, 24, and 26 March and today about spring practice?
