SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceAre changes going to be made in Ford to make the gameday experience resemble Moody?
I am referring to things like beer sales, concessions, Big holographic coke cups like the ones in Moody (maybe with the players instead of Ford), re entry with ticket etc.??
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceThe crowd size might be very "Moody" like after the A&M and TCU games.........
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceI was referring more to the great experience from everything you do in Moody, not necessarily the packed house and crowd aspect of it.
We'll see, if we are 0-4 to start the season, I think we will see 20-30k tailgating and 10k making it to the game ![]()
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceI'd be happy if they'd just fix the constant A/V issues... especially the syncing issues. Sometimes it's downright embarrassing.
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceFix the product on the field and you improve the game day experience.
I know what you're saying but I felt the bigger picture should stay in bright view.
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experience
That is of course my main gripe. But for those that are enduring the football season this year, at least make it bearable.. ![]()
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceJuice boxes for the kids!
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceSince this seems like a great place to complain, I'll go ahead and give my thoughts. Watching all of the videos during Moody this year, I was extraordinarily impressed with the ones made for basketball. Especially the player intro (coming home) and Moody Magic video. When I watched the video for the upcoming football season it was depressingly bad quality and from a production standpoint was not anywhere near the quality of the basketball ones. I hope the in game football videos will be like the basketball ones this season.
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceI enjoyed a juice box for myself at the Cal game. "I think Couchem is right."

Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceSurely they will serve beer next year- It seems like it was a major success for bball. Will be a welcome addition and big revenue generator, at least for the TCU and A&M games which will sell out
Also- and I know we should tread lightly here because the fact we serve beer at all is awesome, but why do they use cans and pour them into cups? Why not just use those plastic cans like are used at pro events? Are they afraid people will throw them full and hurt someone? That's about the only reason I can think of, and I suppose it's at least partially a concern. Seems like eliminating the pouring would make the lines move a lot faster though. 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient
Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceOr simply pour from kegs. Is it a UP alcohol law?

Re: SMU SID: Improvements for Ford Gameday experienceNot sure what the UP law is exactly, but virtually every pro venue uses the plastic cans nowadays. They should sell plastic cans at concession stands and in cash beer troughs, and then sell draft beers at stands where they're poured into cups from kegs.
Letting people get beers from concession stand will also increase concession sales, as people will opt to buy a popcorn or hot dog while getting a beer. Also, cash beer troughs will allow for increased revenues from ATM machines in the stadium/Moody (does Moody have an ATM? I've never seen one). also I suppose you could have a credit card scanner at the beer troughs too. Just food (or drink) for thought. 2005 PonyFans.com Rookie of the Year Award Recipient

Plastic cans? I've seen aluminum bottles, but I don't think I've seen plastic cans
