They held their spring game Friday night. It was 40 and raining.

It was 70 and sunny yesterday and today...

And, they have to suffer being a member of a Power Conference and find more places to spend ACC revenue.

I see a lot of parallels between the SMU program and GTech. (Academic school in a major city, small alumni base that is drowned out by SEC and ACC alums in their city, "eccentric" head coach who runs a "unique" offense, new basketball area) Tech football is so far off of the radar here in metro Atlanta. They do have that AAU thing going for them, and they are a state school. but ttheir alumni are not happy about the current state of affairs in their athletic department. We do have a better bball team than them. I would like to see us play them in football. A home and home with them would help recruiting at both of our universities.

I think that's a good idea, especially with Navy joining the conference. It would be good to see an option-based offense more than once a year

How many people jumped off the cliff when we didn't hire Paul Johnson

I've always wondered what would have happened if we'd hired Johnson instead of JJ. Seems like a similar problem with him at GT: runs a weird offense, they want him gone, and he doesn't really want to be there. Kind of weird how the two situations ended up paralleling each other. Paul didnt get a Hall of Fame basketball coach to come to GT, though.

It holds about 40,000. They only sell out for Clemson and UGA. They played Syracuse last year, and I bet they drew 8,000 max. Middle Tennessee worked them a couple of years back at the Georgia TEch stadium. They do schedule cupcakes so they finish at 6-6 every year. I think they beat Southern Cal in a bowl came a couple of years back.

GT's Bobby Dodd Stadium has 55,000 seats. It is the oldest on-campus stadium in D1A.

Can we stop this already? June Jones did not get Larry Brown to come to SMU. He called and offered him encouragement when Big O didn't want to interview him at first. I think John Calipari, Jay Wright and Bill Self, among other BBALL coaches , calling Orsini on behalf of Larry had a billion times more influence than June Jones calling Larry Brown.

June has been playing this up to try and save his [deleted]. He's grasping at straws and he's even getting some of you to believe him.
