I'm just going to go for the ride this season. It's a win win for me in any case. If we suck, I get to enjoy seeing June get canned, but if he pulls it off and we go in a dream season...I get to make plans for a Fiesta/Cotton Bowl.

Just remember, if a publication publishes a list you agree with then it proves your point irrefutably. If they publish a list you disagree with, they are obviously idiots.

If bleacher report publishes a list you agree with it is ok to reference it but you have to make an obligatory comment about how normally they are idiots but even they got this one right.

"Would be fun to watch Jones’ pass-happy offense at a Power 5 school."

I don't get what he is trying to say in that one...is he referring to SMU becoming a Power 5 school and therefore having better talent for his offense? OR are they suggesting June coaching at a school in the Power 5?

It's obviously the latter though that will never happen because June is in his sixties and he hates recruiting.

Looking at that list of coaches I think SMU could very easily go to a bowl game. It would be a disappointment not to do so imo.

Yeah but don't forget about our 1-3 or 0-4 start though.

Conference schedule is so weak that an 0-4 or 1-3 star should not stop SMU from going bowling. That list of coaches almost looks Sunbeltish.

an 0-4 or 1-3 start means we'd have to go 6-2 or 5-3 in conference play to make a bowl. The conference schedule is no easier than it was last year (we only went 4-4) and our talent level has decreased noticeably.
