If SMU played a good game against UCF and UCF beat Baylor like a drum. Can SMU beat Baylor?

We only play good at home, Baylor will kill us.

And here.... we.... go.....
I think the crappy weather had a lot of reason as to why our game was close.

For the last time, we didn't play that well against Ucf. Hell, they had already clinched the Fiesta bowl and the ground was frozen.

Ok. I'll bite. Why was the weather supposedly such an advantage for our team? Is there that much of a difference in the climates in Orlando and Dallas? Nether team was a cold weather team, and we played with our backup QB. That UCF team was decent but not great. They beat Baylor because they were unfazed by Baylor's reputation. Texas speed doesn't scare kids from Florida. I'm not sure if we will beat Baylor, but at this time our records are both 0-0. This is not like Georgia State playing Alabama. We can't beat Baylor in a track meet, but If we play ball control and make a couple of defensive plays, we can hang with them. Everything I"m reading on this site shows a renewed commitment to the run. That might help us hang with them.

Pretty sure that was just the wishful thinking of a few posters. June has always been very schizophrenic regarding the run game. His teams will always live and die by the pass whether they're equipped for it or not.

seems like a lot more dying than living in recent memory.

We have no offense and will be severely challenged to put points on the board. Our D has little depth and the Baylor hurry up O will take it's toll by the middle of the second quarter and that also assumes the field temperature is less than 95 degrees or we will be out of it in the first quarter.

Sounds like we are a picture of consistency
