I think many of us agree with or at least understand what he is saying.....it would be nice to be able to field a baseball team....if DBU can assemble a competitive team then it shouldn't seem impossible

truth hurts. big time college athletic programs field baseball and softball programs. HUGE expense for SMU when you consider the cost of facilities (land acquisition for starters?) I'm thinking we would need to huge chunk of real estate east of Central for an Olympics sports venue and throw in baseball/softball while you are at it. Where is that billionaire benefactor who wants SMU to join the big boys?

This guy must be trolling. The overwhelming majority of college baseball teams draw flies (we'd certainly be one of them if we had a team). As far as athletic profile goes ask Rice how much having an elite baseball program has done for them in realignment.

Stop wasting time on the Rangers. They are a bad baseball team, they'll lose a lot of games, their radio guy makes me want to drive off a bridge, and it's way too hot to go out and watch. That way, they could dig up LaDanian Tomlinson or any other stupid Frog, wheel them out there and you wouldn't have to see it.
