Haha, I like Briles. He's a helluva coach. Baylor better thank God every night they have him.

Fantastic coach who has done wonders at a program that was considered to be a P5 doormat. Amazing how things are taking shape down in Waco.
Back off Warchild seriously.

What are you talking about? There is no more of a thug coach than Briles and the way he surrounded himself with Bennett and his other thug recruiters who use money to recruit kids into the wasteland that is Waco/Baylor.

Nothing is more mind numbing than to see posters make claims about programs cheating when they do not have anything to support the claim. If you have something, please provide it. If you don't, please don't embarrass yourself any further.

This is no different when some of us were going after the Kentucky fans who attacked Larry Brown and SMU and $$$ after the Justin Martin transfer.

Drives me nuts!!!

exactly-I almost posted the same thing. Name even 1 example from a credible source.

Briles is not a thug coach. Same for Bennett. I don't appreciate those that sling mud just to sling it.

As long as it doesn't hurt SMU, I always root for Bennett. Great guy, just not a HC.

Agreed. Phil Bennett didn't achieve the success we had hoped for here, but he truly cared about SMU and you'd be hard pressed to find a former player of his who doesn't have glowing reviews of him to this day. I wish him all the best.

I liked Bennett and really hoped he would succeed at SMU, but I do think he had his guys "headhunting" in our game to open the season at Baylor 2 years ago. They had just changed the rules to force a player who lost his helmet to come off the field and I think that was part of his strategy to slow any momentum we might build. I've never seen so many "around the head" tackles in a game. I lost some respect for Bennett during that game.

I remember thinking how our players all looked like they weren't used to going full speed and actually tackling on the defensive side of the ball.........

They weren't used to the speed, size and hitting of the Big 12
