I encourage everyone to go back and check out tonight's episode of AMC's "Halt and Catch Fire". It is a fictional depiction of a computer company located in Dallas in the early 80's.

In tonight's episode one of the main characters, who was apparently a former SMU football player, has a discussion in a locker room with a fellow football alum about the '82 football team and the need to "kick-in big to the player recruitment fund".

In my opinion they did a great job keeping the SMU references accurate, considering that they referred to UT as "Austin Tech" later in the episode.

Ha. Yeah I caught that too after watching "Game of Thrones." "Halt and Catch Fire" is a really interesting show and Lee Pace is killing it as the snarky sales guy. I'm hopeful it gets good ratings and takes off.

References to McIlhenny and Dickerson by name and "'stangs"

Sweet. I'll have to check it out. One of the show's creators was a few years younger than me at both my junior high and high school. Pretty cool to see him succeeding!
