Well, that's one less weapon for us to worry about week 1. He was their highest rated recruit of the 2013 class. Not sure why he was dismissed; I remember he got nailed for pot a few months back but not sure if that had anything to do with his dismissal today.

Could we add him to our team?

Over on BaylorFans.com they're saying he failed a drug test.

I say sign him up for 2015. Everyone makes mistakes, but it's not like he hit a woman or held up a convenience store. A little ganga never hurt anyone

When the player is dismissed from the team, can the coaches block him from going to certain schools? (Do transfer rules apply?) or do they treat dismissals differently?

Don't think they apply. I'm pretty sure Florida wouldn't have allowed Cam Newton to transfer to Auburn after he got kicked out; of course he did a JUCO year in between though.

He should go the juco route and prove he deserves a second chance.

He played for Fort Worth Paschal so he may be interested in a DFW school. Doubt if TCU would take a chance with all the Weed and Drug problems they had in the last few years.

As for one less weapon Baylor can use this year, sorry guys he didn't even make the the two deep lineup. Baylor is that stacked with receivers. Maybe he would have next year after senior graduation but we won't know now.

Friend of mine who is a former Baylor QB and good friend of Coach Briles told me last week, Briles thinks this years team will be faster than last years. Maybe BiPolarBear can shed some insight if he has heard the same

Biggest speed bump will probably be in the secondary and on the D Line.

I have heard that too but I am not a fan that studies the team with a magnifying glass. I do know this about Briles. He will take a three star recruit over a 4 star if the three star is .3 seconds faster than the 4 star, if size and height are comparable. The same can be said about a 4 star vs a 5 star.

He is like Jimmy Johnson was with the Cowboys when it comes to speed. It is my opinion but I think "how fast is he" is the first thing he asks a prospect's High School Coach. Then he will ask about height and size.

As for speed with the receiver core? If you count the two East Texas Freshmen who are very fast, maybe so. One is from Liberty-Eylau and the other one is from Mt.Pleasant. I doubt if they will play much their first year. I do feel it is safe to say there will be no drop off in this year's receiver core from the last. Even with the loss of Robbie Rhodes.
