What are the chances

We see Matt Davis beat out Burcham in camp? Burcham has the limited extra Div I playing experience and time learning the system under his belt, but Davis seems to have the flash and wild-card aura.

I guess Davis could always line up in one of the slots, so he's getting touches per game. Can't wait to see how it all pans out.

I don't think Davis will beat out Burcham by the end of the camp, but I do think he will be the starter at the end of the season. If our running game is anything like it was last year we are better off with a QB that has the ability to also make plays with his feet. I think Davis has the ability to do that, where Burcham seems to be your typical pro-style QB.

I look at it this way. If the staff was sold on Burcham being their guy then why we were out recruiting a JUCO kid that is eligible to play right away? I think Davis will be our starting QB in Waco.

Burcham was money in the UCF game until getting concussed.

and looked like a basket full of dried turds in the Houston game. We can't really judge him by anything he did last year.

SMU's best chance to win is with Matt Davis at quarterback.

if June will use him right I think he is the right choice. But I don't think June will use him right, so I would go with Burcham

A dynamic offense could be formed around the likes of Pope, Gresham, Davis, Gaines & Lancaster, but it's a near certainty that June won't adjust HIS offense to fit his best personnel.

He never has, he never will.
