No clue. I would have thought it would be on the SMU football site but I don't see it anywhere.

First practice is Wednesday. I assume they report before that for meetings or somesuch, but that's the first practice.

Yes, there is some kind of a workout Tuesday night. The first practice that the media may attend is Wednesday.

From SMUMustangs.com:

Mustangs Set To Stampede Into Fall Practice
SMU Travels To Baylor On Aug. 31

Aug. 4, 2014

DALLAS (SMU) - With the 2014 season less than a month away, the SMU football team is set to stampede into fall practice later this week. Players report to campus Monday, August 4, for meetings and photos, with practices set to begin Tuesday night.

SMU enters the season looking to build upon its run of recent on-field success. The Mustangs have been to four bowls in five seasons and have won 35 games over that span, the eighth-best five-year stretch in school history.

The Mustangs open the season on Sunday night, Aug. 31, against former Southwest Conference rival and No. 10-ranked Baylor when the two teams open McLane Stadium in Waco. Kickoff has been set for 6:30 p.m., with the game being nationally televised by FS1.

SMU football tickets are a hot item, with almost 3,000 new season tickets sold and total season ticket sales nearing a new record. SMU's 2014 home schedule includes games against Texas A&M, TCU and AAC rivals Cincinnati and Houston among others. To get your season tickets or to purchase one of the Mustang Mini-Plans, please log on to SMUMustangs.com.

Media members can find a practice schedule at http://www.smumustangs.com/media/football-practice.html and can apply for season credentials at http://www.smumustangs.com/media/.

Practices are closed to the public.

Great to see information about football on the SMU site - was getting worried as all of the other American teams were starting to post updates (even schools that don't care about football like Temple and UConn) - but I'm sure it was just because we are starting so late.

I assume we will still get all of our preseason units in before the Baylor game.

Go Mustangs!

Unfortunately, JJ history tells us that it won't start until sometime in the 3rd quarter... :?: :?: :?:

He will replace a 1.5 year starter/ record breaker after 2 interceptions though.
