Tulane

I tried to get some shots of their new stadium, but I didn't have time to park and walk a mile to get to it, and as everyone knows navigating the 3rd-world banana republic that is New Orleans is difficult.

These pics are pretty wothless, but I noticed two things: 1. The stadium looks pretty neat, and 2. there is NO WAY the parkies would ever let SMU do something like this. It is across the alley from expensive homes on both sides.

I can't wait for saturday night football in uptown NOLA. Maybe some pre-game BBQ shrimp at Pascals Manale. If you ever want a solid breakfast try Camelia Grill a few blocks from Tulane.

Architect rendition: pretty cool...

tucked right up against those homes - note alley on right side.
I'm just wondering where you park.

My brides cousin lives at the 40 yard line of the practice field.... Great house... hope we can crash there for a few games.

Looks nice but NO parking. Oh, and the drainage is not to good.

Isn't it in the same place their old stadium was?

It is next to what looked like a baseball field and also some academic type buildings. Campus boarders seemed vague

Here's hoping Tulane can really improve on the field too. We need them to.

No. Student housing sits on the site of the old Tulane Stadium.

There isn't much room at Tulane so I'll be interested to see this thing.

Its on campus, just below Audobon Street (houses you mentioned) and closer to Claiburne Avenue (just south of baseball stadium). Directions are sketchy in the crescent city since everything winds with the River. Was not around for old Tulane Stadium, but my understanding is it is on it or very close to it, they tore out an old track and field training area and maybe some small dorms to make room for the new stadium. I am in Nola right now for a few days and plan to take a closer look.

Side note - every street around except Audubon is unbelievably horrible.
