SMU has posted on my Facebook account that the Princeton Review has ranked our athletic facilities as 7th Best in the country. I am looking for the link but I'm not finding the rankings on the Princeton Review website. I'd like to see the rankings for myself, as well as read any comments that come along the article - if this is true this certainly worth being proud of - so if anybody can find a link I'd appreciate it.
Also, if this is true I am going to have to give Turner a lot of credit for this. When I was there in the mid-90's, right after he got there, our facilities were laughable by modern college athletic standards. Ownby was a broken-down, antiquated high school stadium. Five years later we have Ford. Walking into Moody felt like going up into an attic - now it's the toast of Dallas. Westcott was always a decent facility and I'm willing to bet there have been constant upgrades. Aren't we building a new tennis facility, or will be soon? Gotta do something about our swimming facility as well.
But Turner has been here throughout this, and I have heard from multiple teachers and faculty that he was instrumental in getting Ford built, and at some point he had to agree to put $40M into basketball. He's gotten it done, in my book, time and time again, and on multiple fronts.
If anybody can find this link, or confirm this ranking. Well done, if true.

I think ya'll, and SMU, are confused
The Princeton review gave us the 7th MOST BEAUTIFUL CAMPUS in the country, not best athletic facilities......

Here are 7 schools off the top of my head in 30seconds that have better athletics facilities. We are ahead of all these schools per their list. Moody is awesome but come on now.
Oregon
Arkansas
ATM
Penn St
USC
Nebraska
Texas

Here is their explanation on how they get their rankings:

Arkansas has great facilities and they are in process of upgrading even more. The basketball players remarked they were the only players in the country who could sleep in their lockers. Football stadium was recently upgraded and expanded and they are doing it again right now. They have a lot of money and they are not afraid to spend it.

Moody and Crum are nice but there is a 0% chance we have the seventh best athletic facilities in the country. Pretty much every P5 school has us beat.
Maybe they're referring to Dedman Student Life Center and athletic facilities for non-student athletes?
