Retro ~ entire CBS broadcast UT-SMU '83Stumbled onto this last night while poking around YT. Interesting timing considering the P5 vote that happened yesterday. Wasn't alive when this game was played & we've been pretty much irrelevant in FB my entire life. Sucks to think we might have hit a point of no return w/the P5 vote, but thought this while watching this broadcast.... it has to be worse for the alums who were alive and saw us relevant and then have seen what's happened to us. Anyways.... this same dude also uploaded the entire '83 Cotton Bowl vs Pitt. ![]()
Re: Retro ~ entire CBS broadcast UT-SMU '83Here's part 2 of the same game. Above is just first half.

Re: Retro ~ entire CBS broadcast UT-SMU '83that was the game we lost 13-12* after missing 2 point conversion with about 2 minutes left. Jerry Gray made a great play in endzone I believe to preserve victory for Texas. Texas went to Cotton Bowl and fumbled away National Championship on dropped punt after beating the crap out of Georgia all day.

Re: Retro ~ entire CBS broadcast UT-SMU '83Was at that game.
What I remember most was that UT Defense. They were definitely one of the greatest college D's I've ever witnessed (along with OU's 85 squad). Tough tough loss.
