Re: Tony Richards
Sarcasm.... he would be prototype in 1975.
Re: Tony RichardsMaybe the athletic department will have accurate, updated heights and weights listed by the time conference play starts in October. Every program in the country that's trying to not be bush league has posted them by now.

Re: Tony RichardsAlso if Kyran Mitchell is really 5'11 185 he needs to be playing safety instead of LB. And he still needs to add some weight even if he's playing safety

Sorry about that. Swung and missed on the sarcasm. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Tony Richards
He was listed as recruit on Rivals as 6-1 205, which is still under weight for the position and on the shorter side. Inoke Ngalo (another 2014) is listed as 5-11. No wonder we picked up JUCO Caleb Tuiasosopo. The three 2015 LBs will be a step up recruiting wise, if their numbers are correct.

Re: Tony RichardsTony is probably over 240m but he is a tall, skinny lineman, he has a frame that can add alot of mass to it.
Re: Tony RichardsNo, from what I've heard that 235 is about right. Definitely a red-shirt year to put on 45-50 lbs.
Not sure about Mitchell's weight, but also hear that Ngalo, Rhone & Mitchell all look like good future players at LB with a lot of speed.
Re: Tony Richards
well, there was a story in the DMN this morning mentioning him as a potential starter this year. I don't see how that's possible at 237... http://collegesportsblog.dallasnews.com ... line.html/ Three freshmen competing for starting jobs on SMU’s offensive line Local products Evan Brown, Tony Richards and Chad Pursley have established themselves as contenders for starting jobs on the offensive line. Brown, 6-3, 305, hails from Southlake Carroll; Richards, 6-5, 237, is from Highland Park; and Pursley, 6-4, 280, from Mansfield Legacy. Brown has worked with the starting group the past two days in practice. “He’s the real deal, so he’ll get a chance to play,†coach June Jones said of Brown. “He’s real strong and he’s very smart. Pursley and Tony Richards look like they paid attention last week and know what to do. I’ve been impressed with them.†Derail the Frogs!
Re: Tony Richards
You can decide whether they are wrong about him competing for a starting job or whether they (and everyone else seemingly) are wrong about his weight. I know which way I lean.
Re: Tony RichardsKelvin Beachum, Jr., is two inches shorter than Richards, and showed up as a freshman weighing about 240 pounds, soaking wet. He started for four years and now is in the NFL.
As for Mitchell, I'm not sure if those numbers are accurate, but if they are, that makes him the same height and about five pounds lighter than Taylor Reed was as a sophomore. How did he turn out? PonyFans.com ... is really the premier place for Mustang talk on the Web.
