So similar to when we joined that our local paper can't even tell the difference.

Isn't it pitiful that given all we have poured into football - Ford stadium, $2 million head coach, relaxed admissions standards, top notch tutoring facility and locker room - that we can't out rank UNT and Rice. UNT is a glorified junior college and Rice only gives lip service to being a competitive program.

It will take a miracle on the field this year for June to keep his job.

Not getting our conference right shows you they have no idea what they are talking about...and how much they don't respect the AAC...a conference which won 2 national titles in hoops and a BCS game vs. Big 12 champ.

UT will have a better defense than TCU. With all of the departures from UT, Houston and Tech might both be better than UT this year though. I would think about putting Houston as the third best team in the state behind Baylor and A&M.

UNT and Rice both lost a ton to graduation. Crapshoot at the bottom, but I think we are better than both of those schools.

Houston vs UTSA and SMU vs UNT, are chances to show real separation between AAC and CUSA, even a close game for either is a lose for AAC. I don't have the highest expectations for this team, but DMN is a bit off with these rankings, and I hope SMU crushes UNT soundly. If we lose to UNT, maybe D1-non football is our true calling...
