Not redshirting 13 or 14 players. That seems like a high number after this many years of recruiting.

JJ attributes that high number of FR to finally (after years of winning) being able to recruit more talented kids (recruiting over upperclassmen?). We shall see

I thought he said that last year and the year before and some played very little. Just hate to see kids burn a redshirt for minimal player time. If redshirts are burned I hope they are for substantial playing time.

Most of them see a decent amount of times on special teams if they don't get into the regular flow of the game... so I think the proper frustration would be that they burn their redshirt just to play special teams.

As long as he is lacking on talent he might as well play them so they will be gone sooner when better talent comes in, if it ever does.

Just because he says he doesn't plan to redshirt them now doesn't mean they'll all play. Depends on injuries, needs, etc. He'll play some, but it's hard to believe he would play that many. Then again, if they're the best players, I guess you play them.

I think Stallion went over the numerous players over the years that saw very little action (some did not play for several games let alone special teams) on when they burned their redshirts. I think Zelt Minor saw very little action last year, Jeremy Johnson saw very little action his freshman year, Darrian Wright saw very little action in his freshman year and the list goes on.
