The Washington Redskins waived offensive lineman Mike McGlynn, a free agent the team signed over the offseason who was among those competing with (among others) SMU's Josh LeRibeus for a roster spot.
But McGlynn then was picked up quickly by the Kansas City Chiefs … who made room for him by waiving SMU-ex Ben Gottschalk.
