Burcham plays scared

First quarter of the game. First or second series, Burcham looks like he throws the ball with his eyes closed and immediately spins around to avoid any contact.

I've never seen a QB do that in a game at any level. It was embarrassing. My wife even noticed that play.

That kid is not the QB of the future. Get Davis the reps in practice please.

I left after the 24-0 quarter, but Davis looked damn athletic and confident. I agree, more Davis please.

It is unfair to evaluate either QB with the lack of OL protection. Davis certainly looked more athletic but that only allowed him to run backwards faster and throw a wild interception. They will most likely both play next week and hopefully we can get a better idea for whether or not we will win a game this year.

Agreed. ...the OL was terrible. Who wouldn't look scared? Michael Tyson would look scared if he had to play behind this OL.

FYI, I've seen Romo do that, and I saw the South Carolina QB do that multiple times in the A&M game. Same with Houston's QB.

In the "Elite 11" competition, do they throw to WR's being covered by DB's?

To be fair, I think Russell Wilson would have been scared watching what was happening on the line

no, at least there you don't have expectation that an offensive lineman will block someone at some point during the game.

This board would throw Mother Theresa under a bus.

Burcham played as well as he could possibly play. The Baylor D line was very, very good.

Tough decision coming up, assuming Davis isn't gimpy from the hit he received. But I think you gotta go with Davis from here out. He'd eat NTSU alive.

I'd like to see burch against a lesser defense before we change.

Fair. Would you play him exclusively against North Texas?

We will since Davis has not learned to offense yet.

I think him running backwards and heaving up ducks will work a lot better against a lesser defense.

He played well enough to be the photo of the day two days in a row.

The mother Theresa comment.

I laughed out loud.

We got beat but our defense roughed them up, knocked out the qb.

Not bad

June can fix offenses.
