Which QB Looked the Best?

It was impossible to tell with the OLine play. I was hoping we could see Davis scramble, but he had 3 guys in his face the second he would try to take off. QBs had about 1 second to get the ball off.

I though Kolney Cassel (is that is name?) and Davis looked the most relaxed, then again they were not the starters and game was already over by the time Cassel got in.

So based of what you saw last night, who would you start in week 2?

Honestly, I have no idea.

Seth Russel showed some promise

Burcham looked the best against the starters though I realize that's not saying much. With our O-Line anything we try to do on offense is going to be a problem. Any DC worth a damn should load up the box and blitz us until we prove we can block.

If is was up to me, it's a no brainer - Davis.

How is that a no brainer? 3 of 6 for 12 yards, 4 carries for -22 yds, and foolishly thrown INT.

There is no way of knowing with an OL like that.

June said in the post game - "Davis isn't ready for what we are doing" - so I am not sure we'll see him again for a while.

Is that code for turning him into a WR?

This is not a legit Division I team.

Just my opinion. I thought the offense looked more capable with Davis in the game. He's a much better athlete. One of the big negative rushes he had was bs because he wasn't down when they blow the whistle. I just don't see anything with Burcham. I realize the o-line gave him no help but he looked completely overwhelmed. I didn't see anything that gives me hope he's the guy.

That and he didn't play in the second half of a blow out. We won't see Davis for the rest of the year.

Seems like the coach should adjust the plays to fit the strength of the player. Where were those option plays for Davis. June would rather let a talented guy ride the pine than change what he is doing to take advantage of his personnel.

ask Justin Willis what June thinks about athlete QBs.

After week 1 of football I honestly think Central Ark. and Abilene Christian COULD beat us.

If he isn't ready, why did they play him for large chunks of the game?

Perhaps because the others also weren't ready.
