Any chance for the D

Although I may be in the minority, I think in a game or few this D could be pretty decent. I believe they will fight. I also think they were victims of 1). game speed - that no 11 kids on our team could replicate on the practice field even if that included starters - which was simply insane, and 2). exceptionally poor special and offensive teams play on our part which starts to weigh on you quickly. Baylor is good enough to make a lot of teams look bad, and I predict they will make others look worse than us. Sorry, I started drinking early today.

Both SMU and UNT had decent D performances. The thing that will be the deciding factor in this while will be how ell the QB's play imo.

The defense will be the lone bright spot of the 2014 SMU Mustangs. Problem is they're not done seeing fast teams (A&M, TCU, ECU, Cincy) and the offense and special teams will continue to put them in bad situations. The stats will likely be awful despite them displaying a lot of fight.
