OK it was actually just one person, but the request has been made for a silver linings post after the horrific game with Baylor. At this point I am so frustrated that I do not even care if ponysnob and Lakehighlands Pony want to contribute their depressing mantras. But I will try to come up with a few honest silver linings outside of the "one step closer to a new coach" theme.

1. No major injuries
2. Undefeated in conference play
3. It is conceivable that a one loss team could get into the playoffs
4. Possibility of blue jerseys sometime this year
5. Boulevard just 18 days away
6. One day closer to BB season
7. NTSU built a stadium so we do not have to play them in a Safeway parking lot
8. Jennifer Lawrence (whoops that is Silver Linings Playbook)
9. If our offense can gain 2 more yards this week everyone will giggle
10. We played 3 QBs and lined up with 2 backs in the backfield on occasion. Are we sure Jones is not already gone?

Please add to the list but lets keep it halfway civil. We already have reached the quota of [deleted]'n threads.

How about...the defense played better than I thought they were going to play.

A national TV audience now knows that Deon Sanders, Jr. plays football for SMU and he actually looked pretty good returning kick-offs (note: he had many such chances on Sunday).

June, for the 1st time I can remember wore school colors on the sideline. Blue jerseys will be awesome soon.

I forgot that. The whole coaching staff gets an A+ for presentation.

Our punter somehow managed to boom 'em further than last years 12 yard average.

Tackling was at mid season level and not the usual arm tackle level we are accustom to seeing.

I could actually see SMU on the front of the jerseys.

Our D hit hard enough to break one of the opponents back. That hadn't happen in a long time to be sure.

On third-and-long, Prescott Line looked like his older brother in bursting through the Baylor defence for an 11-yard gain and a first down.

I believe we had more running yards than passing yards, which can only mean one thing.....Pony Express II is on the way soon.
