Stopped by the recently opened Rally House near campus at lunch today. They do have some SMU gear, similar to the Frisco store, but far from what you would expect for a store two miles from our campus. I guess we can't blame them, they put out what they think they will sell.

The store is mostly A&M, UT, OU, Mavs and Stars. TCU has almost as much as SMU. I asked the lady if they had any SMU basketball t-shirts, they didn't. I told her if they got some gear it would sell. She asked me if the SMU campus store had any and I said just one that's looks 10 years old. She said she would tell her manager. I'm not going to hold my breath.

Why wouldn't you just go over to smu to get something?

Still drives me crazy hearing their ad on The Ticket. They advertise the new Lovers/Greenville location, yet there is zero mention of SMU gear.
To your point, if the demand is there then they would carry it; however, if they or any other retailer got on the basketball bandwagon last season then they would've sold plenty.

Pluckers across the parking lot used to have all SMU swag and the servers wore SMU shirts. Over time they have reverted to their UT roots more and more. The nature of the beast.

I gave up on Rally House years ago. Tried to push their Fairview store many times to carry SMU gear and always got the same pushback about licensing (which we know is BS).

They apparently don't need my business.

They put out cheap, non-brand SMU shirts and then are surprised it doesn't sell and blame our alumni. It's a stupid cycle.

The switch to Nike has really helped our bookstore. Better gear, just not very imaginative.

Was shopping with the Mrs this weekend and she spotted a huge SMU section at Victoria's Secret. She was pretty excited with the selection (and no TCU stuff).
