Wtf? Our only rivals are TCU and Rice. What is this? Isn't the overall record 28-4?
We were in the SWC until the mid 90s. UNT was 1-AA until then.

All of this "rivalry" nonsense feels more like UNT marketing.
I've been getting Google alerts about SMU football coming from articles and newspapers in the Denton area.
Sort of explains the random spew of 1-time accounts of people talking trash.

They have said the rivalry thing about 15 times now. When there was pushing they said "THAT HAPPENS IN A RIVALRY GAME!"

No it won't because people have to care about the game for it to be a rivalry. Us losing to them a bunch won't make anyone on this side start caring (see all those post DP losses to Rice in front of tumbleweeds). Those stands I saw today weren't rivalry-worthy.
